BUUUUURRRRHHHHH!!!!!
Oh how I am longing for those
hot summer nights. The older I
get the more the cold bothers me.
My favorite place right now is in
the recliner with a fuzzy blanket
wrapped aroundme. The only problem
with that is that I have to fight with
Chris for the premium spot! The
tile project is in final stages with
only the grout remaining. YEAH!
Tomorrow is my baby girl's B-day.
She is truly one of my best friends.
We talk every day, sometimes numerous times. We have so many likes and hobbies in common that there is always something we need to do
together. Sometimes she even makes something up so she can come to Blackfoot.
She especially likes to go shopping with me cause she knows that mom usually
picks up the bill. She has also given me two of the sweetest grandkids ever. Race
hasn't felt well the last couple of days but dosen't pu up to much of a fuss. Macee
gave a talk today in primary and is taking a Cheerleading-Tumbling class which
she loves. Tara is a great mom and goes above and beyond for her little family.
Have a GREAT day sis!!

Progress

The tile project is coming along nicely. Poor Chris is spending
more time on his knees than on his feet. His time allotted to
this job is running out faster than anticipated. We bought
20" tiles which seem alittle big but I think it looks terrific.
Hopefully we'll be done in time for the Christiansen Kids
Christmas party but just in case I have Pizza Hut's #
memorized. I still haven't put up any Holiday decorations
(actually I'm still putting away the Halloween ones)
It's hard to get in the mood until the tile mess
is cleaned up. I'm starting a couple other things,
painting a Barbie house that Chris built for our neice
a couple years ago, it will get some new decor and
possibly some "Highsical Musical" flair. Macee
is inheriting it and will be so excited to play dolls in it.
Tosh just went home to Chicago after a few days
at home. It was storming there and the thought of
it wasn't very appealing to him. In the big city
the snow turns grey then black in a hurry with all
the traffic and hustle and bustle of the crowds.
He will be back in a couple months to visit again
and hopefully can come at Memorial Day to go
to Summit Creek, which he hasn't done for a
few years. He has promised Macee if she will
walk flat-foot he will take her to Disneyland she
tries but it's a hard habit to break. She loves to
see uncle Tosh and talks of him often.
Well It's off to a Basketball game today to
watch our nephews play. We love following
SR Sports, especially when we can watch family play.

Chris' New Project

Oh I forgot to mention that to add to my LIST
Chris decided to tile the Kitchen, NOW!! Thanks
to my brother Keith for this one. He is building
a new home and all the guys helped out last weekend.
For a year or so we have talked abour tiling but
until now hadn't ever got to serious. But now that
its the count down to Christmas, it's now magically
time! We bought the tile yesterday and are gutting
the kitchen tomorrow. Wish us luck in getting it
done in the next 10 days............................

Getting Ready for the Holidays

This time of year there are endless lines on my to-do list.
Work Party, Ward Party, Christiansen Kids Party, Keller
Family Party, Recipe Group Exchange & Craft evening,
Bunko, not to mention, SR Girls Basketball (which even
Chris commented, "is fun to watch"), SR Boys Basketball,
SR Wrestling, Girlfriends monthly outing, the list just
keeps getting longer. The best part of the Holidays though,
is spending extra time with family & friends. Also its
the time we start to remember all the good things of
Holidays past. My Dad always read the Bible version
of the birth of the Savior on Christmas Eve as we
sat listening in our new Christmas Jammies. When we
were younger we always went to Aunt Margies or Aunt
Becky's or they came to our house to eat and exchange
gifts. Now that we all have our own families and grandkids
we gather at one of my siblings house to eat and exchange
gifts. We have even started another tradition of the gift
pass-around. All of the adults (even the older kids want to
play cause it looks so fun) bring a gift and we take turns
picking one and unwrapping it, keeping it or swapping
it for another that seems better, only to have someone else
trade for it and so on and so on. We took the idea from
Kitty's Baron Family exchange after they told us how much
fun it was. I only hope that our kids will have fond
memories of Holiday gatherings to share with their
little ones.

Chris and his kids minus Jennifer

So I decided to start blogging because I wanted to be able to share what my family is up to. We love bragging about our kids, grankids and how big the fish really was.
We are so excited about the holidays and getting to spend time with our families. We are very thankful for the people in our lives and can't wait to share more with you.
